gum.mp3 and Swami Sound are releasing their first joint album.
Out this summer, State of Emergency is a “meditation on culture and history inside of and beyond the club,” a press statement reads. It will be out everywhere via gum.mp3’s independent imprint, Gum Studio. Along with the album announcement, the duo has released the project’s debut single, “Strip Game” featuring Leon English, on May 30th.
gum.mp3 and Swami Sound are members of artist collective EldiaNYC who continue to leave their mark on the East Coast with their refreshing takes on garage, house, jungle, techno and club music. Known for their educational approach to music sharing, the two have also developed a series called “Crash Course.” On June 14th at 330 Atlantic Ave, the artists will be discussing their respective processes, technical skills, and philosophies. The following week, on June 21st, they’ll be DJing “in a variety of genres and moods” at Manhattan club Le Bain.
